AI Singing Coach · starter release
Pick Carnatic, Hindustani, Western or folk, find your Sa, and practise with a live pitch trace. Analysis runs in your browser; you see only what was measured, or “Not assessed” where it couldn’t be.
What works today
Each part below is built and connected to the coach service. What it cannot do yet is written next to it.
Four reference profiles — Carnatic swarasthanas and Hindustani swaras on your movable Sa, Western 12-TET from a chosen A4, and folk contours. Targets always come from the profile you choose.
Reference profile — pending review by qualified teachers. No other traditions yet.
Sing a steady, comfortable note: the browser measures its median pitch and proposes it, showing the reading. Or pick a tonic from the list. An optional glide measures your range.
A range is never turned into a voice type, age or skill label.
Drone and tala or metronome click, synthesised playback, a count-in, and a live pitch trace that scrolls against the exercise’s target notes on your tonic.
Needs a browser with AudioWorklet and microphone access. Headphones are advised.
After each take: pitch deviation in cents, stability and note-start timing against the beat, per aspect and per note, with deterministic template feedback built only from those values.
No language model is used. Low signal is “Not assessed” with the reason, never a guess.
Practice minutes, sessions and day-by-day medians of your measured pitch and timing deviations, with every chart also shown as a table.
Trends appear only after three measured attempts. No grades, levels or comparisons with others.
A seven-day plan from a published rule set: what’s next, what to repeat and why, sized to your daily minutes. Regenerate it anytime.
Rules, not a teacher: every item says which rule chose it.
